The Helsinki Design Week’s international design competition ‘Home Revisited’ will be launched in the beginning of the Helsinki Design Week on 1 September. Many factors, such as environmental questions, redefining the concept of family, multiculturalism, the ageing population, and digitalisation will affect the future living and design. ‘Home Revisited’ aims at finding new innovative solutions to the changes and challenges ahead.
The competition aims at creating new commercial production and therefore groups are encouraged to submit proposals that can be implemented industrially. Helsinki Design Week is inviting actors from various industries to take part: design, architecture, technology, social sciences or other. Participating groups may include 2-5 persons and the winning group will be awarded a price of 30 000 euros.
